Miami’s Best Toddler Arts & Craft Classes

Young at art! Stimulate your toddler’s creativity with our popular art and sensory classes. Our Miami-based instructors combine traditional arts and crafts activities such as finger painting, stamping, and drawing with multisensory play (think bins office, beans, glitter, shaving cream, oobleck and much more). We encourage imagination, artistic expression and even getting a little messy. Even better, we clean up, so you can just enjoy watching your little Picasso paint.

Featured Classes

Red Violet

In this child-led class, we aim to foster creativity, imagination and a love for the arts through fun, empowering experiences. Children are able to explore different multi-sensory art and play stations every week, which include things like rice, beans, shaving cream, paint, oobleck and much more! All classes begin with music to warm the children up. Then, we unveil three sensory stations in addition to a big painting wall. Sometimes, we even bring dirt indoors! Each class promotes independence, creative thinking, child-led play and exploration, problem solving skills and fine motor skills, all while having fun.

Art Explorers

Join us as we explore art through movement and storytime. Every Art Explorers class is centered around a popular children’s storybook (think The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!) and accompanied by art projects and movement sequences to go along with it. Through various activities, children will work on fine and gross motor skills as well as problem solving abilities and transitions. They’ll also see their favorite stories come to life in a fun and engaging way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to bring anything to class?

Just your little one and a sense of adventure. If there is a special outfit required, you will receive an email with detailed instructions upon registration.

Can both parents attend the class?

Due to capacity rules, most classes generally allow one parent or caregiver to attend class with their child. However, we are always open to hosting both parents if space allows. Parents are also encouraged to sign up for our outdoor classes in the Design District if they want to attend as a family.

How early do I need to arrive at State of Kid before my class starts?

We recommend that you arrive five to ten minutes before your class starts. We do have a steady flow of classes throughout the day, and we start promptly. Please don’t be late as it disturbs the other students and instructor.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can find our detailed cancellation policy HERE.

Can I switch classes for my child?

If your child's interests have changed or your current class isn't working for you, we are here to help. Please email support@stateofkid.com and we will try to find another option for you.

What if my child misses a class?

State of Kid is not responsible for unattended classes during the semester. If your child needs to miss a class for any reason, the class is non-refundable.

Do you offer makeup classes?

We only offer makeups for classes that have been cancelled due to conflicts at State of Kid or conflicts with our instructors. Due to the nature of our schedule and our small class sizes, we cannot offer makeup classes for kids unable to attend a class.

How long are class credits valid for?

Class credits may be used for up to 12 months after issue date.
